What a successful night of the Academic Banquet from the 2022-23 school year. Congratulations to all Students!
JCN football scrimmage has changed the start time, we will start at 8 pm Friday. Concessions will be open but limited; drinks, popcorn, candy bars, etc. No cooked items.
Our first major event of the year, the ACADEMIC BANQUET is tonight at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing our honored students and parents to get the year started.
Thursday night, 5 pm we will host the VB Jamboree with guest schools, D West and McLouth. Game order for Varsity-JCN v DW, DW v McL, JCN v McL. SubVarsity-JCN v MCL-JV, JCN v DW-C, JCN v DW-JV. Concessions available but limited to drinks, popcorn and cold items.
The FOOTBALL GATORADE SCRIMMAGE is this Friday, August 25th @ 7pm. Please consider donating gatorade for the football team to use after games.
Sixth grade instrument display is tonight from 5 to 6 PM in the band room at the EMS.

JCN EMS PreK meet the teacher night is August 17th from 5:30- 6:30.
If your child is in AM PreK your session is from 5:30-6pm.
If your child is in PM PreK your session is from 6-6:30pm.
Please bring your child's birth certificate, shot records, physical, and social security card.

JCN welcomes Thomas Pi (like the letter P) as the new music director. He was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to America when he was four. He graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Music Education. He plays trumpet and drumset. Welcome Mr. Pi to JCN.

EMS Parents, please welcome our new Art teacher, Kelly Gilleece!!
Hello! My name is Kelly Gilleece, this will be my first-year teaching art for this upcoming school year of 2023-2024 and I am excited to be starting out at JCN's EMS. I graduated from Academy of Art University with an emphasis in art education. I live in Valley Falls with my grandmother, Martha, and my 12-year-old son, Alucard who is full of energy and always keeps me on my toes. I am also involved with 4-H and had some added duties this year with becoming the visual arts superintendent and hoping next year to start the cat project in Jefferson County. I do have several cats and a goldendoodle named Amy Jo. I look forward to meeting you all and let’s have a wonderful creative year!
