The first graders listened to The Leaf Thief by Alice Hemming then made squirrels. The kids came up with some very clever names for their squirrels such as Bo Jackson the Squirrel 🤣

Important dates in October!

Last Saturday, the JCN high school cross country team traveled to Rim Rock Farms just north of Lawrence to compete on KU's cross country course. The course is beautiful but very difficult. Both teams ran well, with the boys team coming away with one medal in Lucas Meredith, placing 22nd out of 503 competitors. The boys team placed 27th of 70, and 4th out of all 2A teams.

Come out & support our middle school athletes in McLouth! Volleyball plays at 4:30. 🏐 Football plays at 6:30. 🏈 Go Chargers! 💚

Apple cider, apple butter, and sorghum! Oh my! 5th Graders enjoyed the Fall Kid's Day with the Meriden Antique Engine and Threshers Association last week.

Last week in the library we read and learned about apples. The preschoolers and kindergartners made apple trees.
