Ms. Watkins' third grade class earned a doughnut party this week! Students were challenged to complete 100 iReady MyPath lessons with a 100%, and they met the challenge! Success tasted sweet when they were rewarded with their doughnut party on Wednesday morning. Great job 3rd grade!

As a wrap up to our science unit on force, 3rd grade made paper roller coasters. The students had lots of fun exploring gravity and friction with this unique activity. Some roller coasters were successful.

Students loved the activities and presentation that the Nortonville firefighters brought to JCNEMS on Thursday.

Thank you to the MS Athletic Director, Thad Polson for organizing and hosting the first annual JCN Middle School Cross Country meet!

3rd grade has an Iready challenge to help students do well on their lessons. We complete 100% lessons for donuts. Mrs. Berry’s class got 100% on 81 Iready lessons and earned their donuts this week. This will improve our math fluency.

Mrs. Berry’s 3rd grade enjoyed participating in Fire Safety activities with the Nortonville Fire Department.

7th graders worked hard on their latest math test.

This week 7th Grade researched and learned all about famous landmarks in Asia. They presented it in front of the class.

The Fifth Grade Lunch Bunch Book Clubbers finished their book Willodeen yesterday. Today we ate lunch together and had brownies for dessert.

This week is National 4-H week. Elementary and middle school students brought in some of their projects to display in the library. It's great to see our students excel in different areas.

Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine, the 6th grade class moved their math review outdoors. Students enjoyed the nice weather as they found their own quiet workspace on the playground to focus and complete their assignments.
