Come out and support our JCNMS Boys Basketball team as they open their season with a home game this afternoon in Nortonville.

This Saturday January 3 we will hold our 4th session of Skills & Drills with the Chargers from 9am -10am. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Week #3 of Skills & Drills is tomorrow Saturday December 20th. Hope to see you there! We will not have a session on December 27th. Our 4th session will be January 3.

This fall semester Mrs. Sumpter's 2D class focused on their drawing skills. At the beginning of the semester each student drew their best self portrait. After spending months on learning how to draw what we see, and not what we think we see (aka drawing on the right side of the brain), they put their new skills to the test and drew a new self portrait. Look at the amazing differences!

The Middle School drama play scheduled for December 17th has been postponed due to illness. We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you updated when a new date is scheduled.

Reminder!

The sophomore class has been reading To Kill a Mockingbird. We had a trial in class, then the students created their own newspapers that relate to the book or the 1930s.

This week’s highlight goes to Coach Ostrander and the JCN Cheer Squad. Their consistent support and sportsmanship throughout the year are truly appreciated—not just by our own community, but by others as well. We recently received positive feedback from both the Perry and Jeff West communities about how impressive our team is, especially because of one simple gesture they make at away games: during halftime, they sit front and center to support the opposing school’s dance team. This small act reflects the character of our students and the values we strive to model every day. Great job, Coach Ostrander and JCN Cheer! Thank you for showing your #JCNexcellence.
