JCN Varsity Baseball will be completing their Effingham postponed games at ⚾️3:30pm at the Nortonville Baseball Field on Wednesday, April 19th. ⚾️

⚾️BASEBALL GAMES that were postponed Monday at Effingham will be played WEDNESDAY AT NORTONVILLE FIELDS⚾️. Start time has not been determined.

An addition to a previous post about Region Music, Clara Johnson also received a "I" rating with a vocal solo and will be going to State Music with trombone and vocal solos. Awesome job.

The baseball games at ACCHS were suspended due to field conditions. Date to finish is TBD. Softball was able to complete their games.

Our JCN Music students had a great Regionals at Benedictine College Saturday. The vocal Ensemble, Clara Johnson-trombone, Keagan Baker-clarinet, Cooper Coder-Alto Sax, Stephanie Painter-vocals got "I" ratings and will be heading to state in Salina. Great job JCN musicians.

Summer Theatre is BACK at JCN! On June 5-9, the JCN Theatre Department is hosting a summer theatre camp. Students, K-8, involved in the camp will spend 5 days putting on a little show for their final day performance.

4th grade students investigate soil properties and components.










Another busy week in Ms. Moore’s kindergarten. Pre-school came to read with kindergarten buddies. Kindergarten sang the Better Alphabet song backwards and Pre-school sang the Better Alphabet song forward for kindergarten. It was a fun time.





2nd grade celebrated finishing the novel, Because of Winn-Dixie with a Winn-Dixie party. It was complete with Litmus Lozenges, and pickles. If you don't know why- try reading the book. It's a great read. Recommended by all of 2nd grade!!




Students in Mrs. Tate's first semester creative writing class published a book after studying the history of the Negro Baseball League.

Mrs. Berry's 3rd graders were so excited today, they finally finished the 100 piece Avangers puzzle today. Another group finished a 60 puzzle!



Kindergarten had a fun filled day of activities.
