After reading "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allen Poe, the 9th graders are now creating their own Coat of Arms. Each student represents themselves and their families with different colors, symbols, and animals. This practice is known as Heraldry; a practice as old as The Middle Ages. It's so interesting to see them work! Nice job, Freshmen.

These are the finished quilt squares made by one of the fifth grade classes. Each student made a small square with their name, positive personality traits, and things they love to do and excel at. We are all unique and together we make something beautiful!

What is better than reading a great book? Having cookies and milk with a great book. Today in the high school library we finished The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen. A Schneider Family Award Winning Book, and highly recommended to all ages. Next week we will start See You in the Cosmos by Jack Chong.
