Ladies and Gentlemen, The fall show is going to be postponed to the Spring Semester. The cast and I decided as a group that this was the best way to put on a show worthy of being on the JCN stage. We are not going away forever, but we are taking some time to reassess and we will get started back up again in January. I will be making, posting, and sending home schedules with kids as soon as I figure some stuff out! As of right now, all after school play rehearsals have been canceled and will resume Monday, January 10th, 2022. Please contact me at my school email if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your constant support of the JCN Theatre Department. -Ms. Crocker

This week in chemistry, we performed two fun labs. We have been discussing mixtures and pure substances, and the differences between them. Some mixtures can be separated out by simple methods, one of which is chromatography. In our first lab, students put assorted “inks” on filter paper and separated out the colors that are not normally seen by using that method. Some of them look especially nice under UV light. In the second lab, they decomposed wood (a pure substance (kind of)), and found that several compounds were produced. One of the surprise products was methane, a flammable gas. Student always enjoy these two labs, primarily because in one they make “pretty refrigerator art”, and in the other, something burns or goes boom! To see the methane, click here --> https://youtu.be/0EpwjzvyCc8
