Two more girls added to the 'big plate club'. Bench pressing 'big plates' (135 lbs.); quite an impressive accomplishment. #strong

In all of my classes, one of my major goals is for the students to be active. Being “active” is a life goal, and being active supports both physical and mental well-being. Today, my Freshman PE class played cornhole. You have probably played this game at a party, so good for you “staying active”! One of the sets was made as a Senior Product (thanks to Trenton F. ’21).

Kindergarten students were excited to read about and identify the frog they caught at recess. They were sad to have to let it go back into its natural habitat at the end of day. Other students were excited to read about butterflies and the accessories they made in art class.

We are still talking about separation techniques in chemistry, and students made Sodium Tetraborate* crystals. We decided to set up an iPad and video their growth over night using the time-lapse mode. They turned out pretty neat, and many of the students will be bringing them home to show folks. (* also called Borax (as in "twenty mule team..." for some of us older folks)). Here is the link to their video https://drive.google.com/file/d/18kHVgFanP5Cb5hzDe9T2Ssr6FonDocPp/view?usp=sharing
