We do currently have a positive case of COVID at the high school. Contact tracing from early last week looks clear for other students. We appreciate your diligence at home in watching for symptoms and students doing a great job of mask wearing and other precautions. There are restrictions on attendance that you will need to know. Also note, not all schools will be able to allow 2 parents to come to games because of county restrictions. Make sure you check first.

We have several changes to our HS basketball schedule due to COVID. 1. The games at MH-MA tomorrow night will begin at 4:00. 2. The girls will play a make-up game on Dec. 10th with Valley Falls at JCN beginning at 5:00. JV/V girls only. 3. The Friday games against Horton are postponed to Monday, Dec.14th, 4:30 at Horton. We will probably have many changes throughout this basketball season. Please watch the updates on our website calendar and call the office if you have questions.

UPDATE-The GIRLS HS basketball games (Varsity and JV) are cancelled for tonight, Dec. 4th. Those games will be rescheduled soon. The boys will still be playing McLouth at JCN high school. INFO for high school basketball. We are excited that we will begin our season tomorrow on Dec. 4th at home. With the recent KSHSAA decisions there have been a few changes for us. 1. All games will now be played at the high school in Winchester. 2. Games will begin at 4:30 with jv girls, jv boys, v girls, v boys. 3. No fans are allowed to attend per KSHSAA. Only players, coaches, Cheer, pep band and workers will be allowed in the gym. 4. No concessions will be available. 5. We will livestream all games. Go to our Youtube page to watch. Due to NEKL Tournament beginning this Sat., this game will not be made up this season.
The JCNHS JV Scholars Bowl team placed 2nd at the Valley Falls meet that took place on 12/1/2020. Congrats to all that participated.
