SUMMER FREE MEALS -
The National Child Nutrition Program has extended free meals for children through next school year. In June, Jefferson County North will once again be providing students age 1 - 18 (including all HS seniors) with free meals. As we did last summer, you will be able to pick up meals for your children at either building. The school lunch ladies will pack two days of meals for Monday pick up and three days of meals for Wednesday pick up. Since the first week will be Memorial Weekend, meals will distributed on Tuesday for the entire week. Please mark your calendars and plan to pick up breakfasts and lunches for your students during June. The dates for meal distribution are the following: June 1, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30. Distribution will be 11:00 a.m. - noon at the EMS in Nortonville or HS in Winchester, serving from the kitchen doors at both buildings.

SENIORS YOU'VE ALMOST FINISHED. JCNHS graduation is Saturday at 2:00 in the high school gym. There are not crowd limitations but we do ask that you wear a mask. Upcoming Promotions Information. We will be hosting multiple different promotions over the next week at the EMS that will have the following guidelines: Masks will be required to enter the building and there will not be limitations set on guests for the following promotions in the EMS gym.

REOPENING BUILDINGS JUNE 1st
At this week's school board meeting, the board voted unanimously to allow public use of the facilities this summer following any current county mask guidance. At this point, masks are recommended in our county.

These nine first graders went above & beyond their class assignment of writing to 500. They each doubled the assignment & wrote to 1000! Mrs. Deviney rewarded each student with a box of candy of their choice. 🍬 🍫 🍭

The JCN Invitational Track meet is tonight starting at 4. TONIGHT IS PARENTS NIGHT. We will honor parents and seniors right before the 300 Hurdles event.

This week throughout our nation, we celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. And, what a year to celebrate! Our teachers and staff opened the buildings, buses, lunchrooms, offices, etc. back in August not sure what was ahead. Thanks to hard work and support from families and our JCN community the year has gone quite well, considering the stresses of COVID. Please help me in THANKING the Jefferson County North teachers for making learning a priority for 2020-21! Also, please recognize the many other positions that make teaching possible including: para-professionals and support staff, drivers, cooks, maintenance/custodians, our school nurse, secretaries, principals and Board of Education. This year, TEACHING and LEARNING helped us move forward despite difficulties! Thank you JCN Teachers and Staff! You've done amazingly!

Tonight's jv track meet at Jeff West has been moved to Thursday night. The Varsity track meet at Jackson Heights has been cancelled. Varsity will will go to Jeff West on Thursday also.
MS Track meet in Lyndon has been moved to tomorrow, Monday April 19 due to inclement weather coming in on Tuesday
