JCNHS Yearbook earns National Recognition
December 08, 2009
The 2008-09 Jefferson County North High School yearbook titled, North Side Story, was named a national semifinalist for Yearbook Yearbook, the publication that honors outstanding yearbook achievement. The yearbook staff at JCNHS has earned this award with each edition since the 2001-02 school year.
Books are selected as national semifinalists based on the appearance of the overall book and the design and integration of the theme. The theme, North Side Story, used bricks from the actual high school buildings and graffiti fonts to create a West Side Story inspired design.
In addition to the staff award, Sean Wilson was recognized as a top editor. Senior editors included Monica Cardona, Jenna Domann, Devin Gigstad, Cooper Hart, Amelia Noll, Scott Noll, and Dalton Speer. Staff members were Laura Ballinger, Andrew Becker, Brooke Bengel, Jessica Benner, Justin Erhart, Molly Lyon, Hayden Minor, Sara Navinskey, Michael Preut, and Laura Wallace. The adviser is Cindy Johnson.
Thank you to all the advertisers, parents, community members, faculty, and students who have supported North Side Story and the yearbook program. Every advertisement and purchase helps make our yearbooks more affordable for all of our students.
