Three Shows Featured at Theatre Camp

Jefferson County North's summer theatre camp recently concluded featuring three shows the final day of camp. The morning session for campers ranging from grades 1-5 put on two, one-act plays: Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Both shows were written by Abby Stephan, Landon Noll, Teresa Noll, Katie Twenhafel, and Jacob Schrick. Senior theatre students, Abby Stephan and Jacob Schrick, directed Cinderella, while seniors Landon Noll and Teresa Noll directed Sleeping Beauty.
The afternoon session for campers 6-8th grade, presented Fairy Tale Courtroom, a show that featured the trial of the Big Bad Wolf in the first act and the Wicked Witch in the second act. The show was directed by Britany Morgan, junior, Katie Twenhafel, and senior Holly Bodenheimer.
JCN Theatre Camp ran from June 7-11 and was taught by JCN High School students and area volunteers and was attended by students from Oskaloosa, Nortonville, Winchester, Valley Falls and the Leavenworth area.
