Three Cheers for Chocolate

Thanks to all who supported our Middle School Pep Club candy bar sales again this year! The students sold approximately 5,500 chocolate bars! This annual candy bar sale is the only fundraiser for the Elementary/Middle School. The members have been earning money the past three years along with assistance from their sponsor, Ms. Slava and last year's sponsor, Mrs. Wright, in hopes of adapting our marquee to an electronic display. The students were able to complete our "savings" for the project!
Mr. Babcock has researched possibilities for the project and we are currently working with a company out of Salina, Kansas. We have ordered the parts that will change the marquee from a hand-placed lettering to an electronic LED display board. The marquee board will make a trip to Salina later this summer for adaptations.
The Pep Club's efforts will allow the marquee to be changed from within the EMS building. Our middle school technology class will hopefully be able to assist in updating the messages. Be watching for our "sweet" message board this fall!
