MS Track continues its winning tradition
by Lee Ann Hartwick
The tradition of winning track teams continued at the middle school this season. The team finished the season as the Overall Delaware Valley League Champions for the 4th year in a row.
The Chargers were led by their 8th grade girl’s squad which never finished below first place as a team the entire season. The 8th grade girls had several stand out athletes. Jamie Navinskey, Jacee Kramer, Hannah and Sami Twenhafel, Heather Polson, Mallory Kramer, and Abbie Weishaar collectively set thirteen new school records for the 2010 season.
The 4x100 meter relay team composed of Jamie Navinskey, Jacee Kramer, and both Hannah and Sami Twenhafel set a new mark of 56.30. The old record had been in place since 1979. Navinskey also set a new 100 m dash record (12.91) The existing record was held by Anna Abromovitz (’79) and Lorraine Noll (’80).
