JCN Leading the Way

Our Jefferson County North FBLA chapter has recently participated in several important events. 

The first event, Business Day, was December 14th. Our chapter toured the Harley Davidson Factory in Kansas City where we learned how the bikes were assembled and the processes that went into making it a top quality product. The Harley Davidson Factory employees build the bikes from the frame up and finish with a test drive to make sure that everything is working properly before they ship the bikes off to others states and/or countries. In order to be hired you have to go through a process called the “Handle Bar Test”. You get 45 minutes to put together everything that goes on the handlebars of the bikes. The tour was very interesting and our chapter learned how to build a bike from beginning to end. We finished our day by eating and shopping at the Legends at Village West. Overall I would say that our Business Day trip was a huge success.

January 18th was our second important event when our FBLA chapter attended District FBLA hosted by Valley Falls. At District our members competed in many events as well as took many objective tests. Our chapter placed 2nd overall out of 9 other chapters attending and every JCN student who competed placed in at least one of their events. Our hard-work and study times showed in the end results.
