MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF USD 339
HELD ON JUNE 29, 2009, AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE
WINCHESTER, KANSAS
The special meeting of the Board of Education of USD 339 was called
to order by Ron Langston, President, at 5:06 p.m. on June 29, 2009,
at the district office in Winchester.
Also present were Karen Edmonds, Keith Ostrander, William Reed,
William Perry, Jr., Tony Domann, Tim Marshall and Susan
Coppinger.
Karen Edmonds made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion seconded by JR Perry. Motion carried 6 - 0.
(Negotiations) JR Perry made a motion
at 5:08 p.m. to go into executive session for 15
& (Personnel) minutes, with the Superintendent, to discuss
negotiations and personnel matters of non-elected personnel in
order to protect the privacy interest of the individual(s) to be
discussed and to protect the public interest in negotiating a fair
and equitable contract. Motion seconded by Tony Domann.
Motion carried 6 – 0.
Ron Langston called the meeting back into regular session at 5:23 p.m.
(Admin/Classified Salaries) Keith Ostrander made a motion to approve a one-time salary payment of $500.00 to each of the building principals for SY2008-2009. Motion seconded by Tony Domann. Motion carried 6 – 0.
JR Perry made a motion to approve a one-time salary payment, as presented, to classified staff for SY2008-2009. Motion seconded by Tony Domann. Motion carried 6 – 0.
(Negotiated Agreement) Karen Edmonds made a motion to approve the negotiated agreement for 2009-2010 as ratified by the JCN Education Association. Motion seconded by Tony Domann. Motion carried 6 – 0.
Ron Langston adjourned the meeting at 5:28 p.m.
