Quill & Scroll adds three members

Devin Gigstad, Scott Noll, and Sean Wilson have each earned membership in the Quill and Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists by maintaining high academic standards while displaying outstanding work in yearbook and/or web design. Devin and Scott were inducted for outstanding work in yearbook, and Sean was inducted for outstanding work in both yearbook and web design. Current Jefferson County North High School Quill and Scroll members include Lesley Ballinger and Callie Barnett.

Quill and Scroll’s purpose is to encourage and recognize individual student achievement in journalism and scholastic publications, specifically yearbook and web page design at Jefferson County North High School. To receive the honor, students must meet four requirements. First, be classified as a junior or senior. Second, be in the upper third of his or her class scholastically the year of nomination or cumulative of all high school work. Third, complete superior work in yearbook or web page design, and finally, be recommended by adviser.

Quill & Scroll members receive a subscription to Quill & Scroll magazine, a choice of membership pins, and a membership card. Additionally, members will receive an official award of honor certificate from Quill & Scroll, a blue and gold graduation cord, and a high school diploma seal. Members must pay a one-time initiation fee of $13 to the national office.

Congratulations to Devin, Scott, and Sean on their outstanding work and for being inducted as members of Quill and Scroll at Jefferson County North.
